Tours to New Hampshire & Lake Placid

After huge success during our NYC Season April 12-14, the company headed out on tour.  We performed at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire on Friday April 20th and then at Lake Placid Center for the Arts on April 22nd.  Both performances were very well received, and eager audiences were not let down!  Congratulations to the company dancers for their hard work over the past few weeks.

Thank You Everyone for a Sold-Out Season!

Elisa Monte Dance had a tremendously successful 2012 Season!  Thank you to all who came out to support us and see the performances.  We were thrilled to perform in front of 3 sold-out, enthusiastic houses!  Our Gala Night was a huge hit, as our patrons enjoyed fabulous views from the top of Le Parker Meridien for a wonderful dinner, lively conversation, and our annual raffle.  The company looked stunning and all three premieres by Elisa Monte, Tiffany Rea-Fisher, and Joe Celej were enthusiastically received over the run.

EMD at Wells College

EMD was at Wells College February 29th through March 1st.  We conducted two master classes for the dance department students as well as hosted a brown bag lunch and Q & A.  At the residency’s conclusion, EMD danced a full evening performance featuring Ms. Monte’s works Vejle, Tears Rolling, White Dragon, Vanishing Languages, and Pigs & Fishes.  The company was greateful to be able to engage with the students and perform for the college and community of Aurora, NY.

Residency in North Dakota

EMD’s recent week-long residency at Dickinson State University was extremely rewarding for both the company and community of Dickinson, ND!  We taught over 20 classes in 4 days, reaching over 325 adults and students.  Check out the Faces of DSU Newsletter for more about the success of the exchange!
